End of Tenancy Info and Check List

To ensure everything goes smoothly with the end of your tenancy with Peacock Hospitality please refer to the information below.

Cleaning

Refrigerator
  • Clean inside of refrigerator and freezer.
  • Remove, clean, and replace all drawers.
  • Wash and dry exterior sides, back and top of refrigerator.
  • Move refrigerator out from wall and vacuum back coils, wash floor and wall behind fridge.
  • Clean the top of fridge.
Hood Fan
  • Remove filter, clean and re-install.
  • Remove grease trap and re-install.
  • Clean exterior and interior of fan.
Range/Oven
  • Remove racks and broiler pan; clean and dry.
  • Clean inside of oven, top of stove, under heating elements and pan drawer. Use a heavy-duty oven cleaner.
  • Clean and dry exterior sides, front and back of oven.
  • Remove and clean knobs, dry and replace.
  • Clean stove pans and rings.
  • Clean floor underneath stove/oven.
  • Clean oven drawer.
Kitchen Cabinets & Drawers
  • Wash cupboards inside and out.
  • Wash the tops of the cupboards.
  • Clean drawers.
  • Clean sink and countertops.
  • Wash all walls.
  • Backsplash grout lines must be scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned.
Living Room
  • Clean windows, windowsills and tracks.
  • Clean light fixtures and switches.
  • Wipe baseboards.
  • Remove fronts from baseboard heaters and clean inside and out.
  • Vacuum and mop floor.
  • Wash all walls.
Bed Room(s)
  • Clean closet shelves.
  • Clean windows, windowsills, and tracks.
  • Clean light fixtures and switches.
  • Carpets must be professionally cleaned.
  • Wash all walls.
Bathroom
  • Clean bathtub/shower, tile around tub, fixtures, and front of tub.
  • Clean inside and outside of toilet, including the base.
  • Clean inside and outside of all cupboards and drawers.
  • Wash mirror.
  • Sweep and scrub floor, especially floors.
  • Clean bathroom fan, remove cover and clean the fan blades and cover.
  • Clean all light fixtures, switches, and towel bars.
  • Wash all walls with dish soap and hot rag.
Floors
  • Carpets must be professionally washed.
  • Laminate flooring must be scrubbed and vacuumed.
  • Tile grout must be scrubbed and cleaned thoroughly.
  • Tile must be scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned.
Miscellaneous
  • Remove all personal items and garbage.
  • Replace dead light bulbs with soft white LED.
  • Wash patio door and tracks.
  • Wash inside and out of front of all doors.
  • Make sure all blinds are cleaned.
  • Check all interior walls and wash off marks, smudges, dirt or grime.
Balcony
  • Clean guardrails.
  • Clean the floor of the balcony.
  • Dust the outside light and wipe the exterior wall.
  • Clean the balcony door and the door track.

Damages

If there are damages beyond normal wear and tear or damage that was not present when you took position of the unit, please bring them to the attention of Peacock Hospitality as soon as possible. The more time we have to fix and schedule the repair before the end of your tenancy the less financial responsibility you will incur. Do not attempt to fix any damages your self unless you hire a licenced contractor to make the repair. We need to approve the hired contractor.

Utilities

Call BC Hydro 1 800 224 9376 and have your service terminated to correspond with the date of your move out date

Call your internet cable and phone provider and have your service terminated

Peacock Hospitality is not responsible for any unpaid utilities or to refund utility deposits

Carpets

Carpets must be professionally cleaned. Fiber Fresh is the best company to use. Their number is 250 430 7928. If carpets are not professionally steam cleaned Peacock Hospitality will provide the service for $250.00. If the carpets are stained or damaged beyond repair, please inform Peacock Hospitality as soon as possible.

Fob/Parking Pass

All FOB that were issued to you during your tenancy must be returned during the move out inspection. If keys are not retuned, you will be charged $25 for the cost of us to rekey the doors. This charge is per FOB. All Parking Passes that were issued to you during your tenancy must be returned during the move out inspection. If these passes are not retuned, you will be charged $25 for the cost of us to reprint the pass. This charge is per pass.

Notice

If you leave your unit in disarray, dirty and or damaged Peacock Hospitality will seek damages above and beyond the damage deposit if needed. This action may affect your credit rating.

If you leave your unit in disarray, dirty and or damaged Peacock Hospitality will enter you name into the database of DNR(do not rent) tenants. This will prevent you from ever renting from Peacock Hospitality and all its partners in both a commercial and residential capacity.

If you leave your unit in disarray, dirty and or damaged Peacock Hospitality will refuse to give you positive references.
